Communities

The Cybersecurity Association of Pennsylvania (PennCyber) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2020. As Pennsylvania's trusted community on cybersecurity, our common goal is Securing Pennsylvania's Digital Future Together through comprehensive education, robust advocacy, and community growth.

PennCyber is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations across the commonwealth with the knowledge and resources needed to protect against cyber threats. Our mission is advanced through a variety of initiatives, including:

  • Educational Programs: We host a series of educational events and workshops that are open to the community, providing Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits and fostering a culture of continuous learning in cybersecurity.

  • Advocacy Efforts: We actively engage in advocacy to influence policies and practices that enhance cybersecurity measures and awareness at both the state and local levels.

  • Community Development Hubs: Our development hubs serve as innovation centers where professionals, educators, and community members can collaborate, share resources, and develop new strategies to combat cyber threats.

  • STEM-Based Curriculum: We are developing a STEM-based curriculum to enable teachers and parents to educate children about cybersecurity from elementary through high school. This initiative aims to build a strong foundation of cybersecurity awareness and skills among the younger generation.

  • Resource Library: We are building a comprehensive community library of resources around cybersecurity, making valuable information and tools accessible to everyone in the community.

Through these efforts, PennCyber is committed to creating a safer digital environment for all Pennsylvanians. By fostering a collaborative and informed community, we strive to make Pennsylvania a leader in cybersecurity resilience and innovation.

Continuing Education Events

At PennCyber, we are committed to empowering individuals and organizations across the Commonwealth with the knowledge and resources needed to protect against cyber threats. To achieve this, we host and partner with other organizations to offer a variety of virtual and in-person events. These events are designed to provide comprehensive education, foster valuable networking opportunities, and grant exclusive access to cutting-edge technology companies. Our educational events cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of cybersecurity to advanced threat detection and response techniques, led by industry experts. By participating in these events, attendees can earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, ensuring they stay current with the latest developments in the field.

In addition to educational content, our events offer networking opportunities with industry leaders, providing a platform for attendees to connect with peers, share experiences, and build professional relationships. Networking with experts and thought leaders in cybersecurity helps attendees stay informed about emerging trends and best practices. Furthermore, PennCyber's events provide exclusive access to cutting-edge technology companies, allowing attendees to engage with representatives from leading tech firms, explore the latest cybersecurity tools and solutions, and gain insights into innovative technologies that can enhance their organization's security posture. By offering a blend of education, networking, and access to technology, PennCyber's Continuing Education Events play a crucial role in building a resilient cybersecurity community across Pennsylvania.

PennCyber: Powered by Your Support

PennCyber thrives because of the generous support from individuals and organizations like you! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on a diverse range of funding sources to sustain our mission of securing Pennsylvania's digital future. Our funding comes from membership programs, corporate sponsorships, and donations from community members who share our commitment to cybersecurity.

Membership Programs: By becoming a member of PennCyber, you join a dedicated community of professionals and enthusiasts who are passionate about cybersecurity. Membership provides access to exclusive events, educational resources, and networking opportunities, all designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field. Your membership fees directly support our initiatives, enabling us to host impactful programs and events that benefit the entire community.

Corporate Sponsorships: We partner with forward-thinking companies that recognize the importance of cybersecurity and are eager to invest in the future of our digital landscape. Corporate sponsors play a crucial role in funding our educational workshops, community outreach programs, and development hubs. In return, sponsors gain visibility and recognition within the cybersecurity community, demonstrating their commitment to protecting our digital infrastructure.

Community Contributions: Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant impact. Contributions from individuals help us expand our reach, develop new resources, and offer more comprehensive support to those in need. By donating to PennCyber, you are directly contributing to the safety and security of our digital world.

It is important to note that PennCyber is not a government agency. We are an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community through education, advocacy, and collaboration. Our independence allows us to remain agile and responsive to the evolving cybersecurity landscape, ensuring that we can effectively address the needs of our members and the broader community.

Together, with your support, we can continue to build a resilient and secure digital future for Pennsylvania. Thank you for being an essential part of our mission.
