The Cybersecurity Association of Pennsylvania was founded after a flurry of large scale cyber-attacks targeted businesses, non-profits, government entities, and the citizens of Pennsylvania. At this point we all have been impacted by at least one cyber-attack and it is time for business leaders, government agencies, and the community come together to improve and enhance the security of our digital assets.
At the highest levels within state and federal government agencies, we have continued to see cyber-attack after cyber-attack turn successful as often times our data is later found within the dark web or internet for sale and use. Pennsylvania in particular has one of the oldest breach notification laws in the country, forcing citizens to rely on other states to report breaches and to piece together their own puzzle.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, businesses, non-profits, and each of us need to place a new priority on Cyber Security procedures and safe habits.
To accomplish the goals of educating and promoting CyberSecurity across the Commonwealth, CSAP will relay on the best practices outlined with NIST, GDPR, CIS Controls, and the many state and industry compliance requirements that are currently in use around the globe.
